The regular season has come to an end for girls’ volleyball in North Carolina. On Thursday the NCHSAA released the brackets for the playoffs, and here is where Moore County teams stand for when the playoff starts on Saturday, October 22.
In 1A East bracket North Moore is Ranked #9 and will host #24 seed North Edgecombe. North Moore finished the season 12-13 after losing to Seaforth in the conference semifinals in 5 sets 3-2. This game will be played at 7 pm on Saturday.
In 3A East bracket Union Pines lost in the conference finals to Pinecrest in 3 sets 3-0. The Vikings are the top 3A team and will get the 9th seed and face #24 seed Triton at home after they finished the regular season at 15-9. They will play on Saturday at 1 pm.
In 4A east bracket Pinecrest defeated Union Pines to claim the regular season championship and conference tournament championship with a 22-2 record. They are the #3 seed and will host #30 seed Panther Creek on Saturday at 2 pm.
