With 26 of 26 precincts reporting, the North State Journal is calling the Moore County Board of Education seats for Shannon Davis, Pauline Bruno, and Ken Benway.
In the district III race, Davis had 54.00% of the vote and is projected to defeat incumbent and current board chairman Pam Thompson.
Moore County residents also had the chance to vote for two at-large candidates for the Board of Education, and Bruno, with 28.67% of the vote, and Benway, with 26.10% of the vote, were the two with the highest majority.
This brings in three new members to the Moore County Board of Education and gives a decisive edge to the Republican-leaning members.
