Aidan Allred, a shortstop for the Sandhills Bogeys in the Old North State League, earns athlete of the week honors for the week of July 22. Allred had his best batting game of the season in the Bogeys’ 8-2 series-clinching win over the Brunswick Surfin’ Turfs in the first round of the ONSL playoffs Saturday.
