CARTHAGE — The Moore County Board of Education met Tuesday, October 11, where they were presented with a land-use study and information regarding the North Carolina general statute on school calendars. The Festival D’Avion is coming to Moore County

The Festival D’Avion, a celebration of freedom and flight, is set to take place at the Moore County Airport in Carthage this October. The event, which will occur on October 28 and 29, will offer a variety of air displays, special activities, entertainment for kids, and even live music. PINE NEEDLES — This year’s U.S. Women’s Open was the fourth to be held at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Resort, the most for a single venue in the event. It’s the fifth overall to be held in the Pinehurst area.
