Sheriff Ronnie Fields announces an investigation following a shooting death in the Robbins area of Moore County. On September 3, 2022, at approximately 10:00 pm, Moore County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of someone going door to door in the area of Sunset mobile home park in Robbins, North Carolina. Prior to arriving, deputies received a second report of a disturbance and gunshots fired in the same area. ROBBINS — The Town of Robbins will host the 67th Robbins Farmers Day event starting Thursday, August 4, and it will run through Saturday, August 6 in downtown Robbins. Robbins Farmers Day is a weekend-long event that kicks off with a 5K race, and features live music, demonstrations, carnival rides, fireworks, a variety of food and craft stalls, and more, all culminating in the Robbins Farmers Day Parade on Saturday. Haddock becomes police chief in Robbins

ROBBINS — A former Vass police officer was sworn in last week as the new police chief in Robbins. Benjamin Haddock worked with the Vass police department for eight years. Haddock takes over a position that has been vacant since July, following the resignation of former chief Lawson Thomas. The Robbins police force had been depleted following other officer resignations in 2021 but recently hired additional officers before hiring Haddock.
