TRINITY — Wheatmore advanced in the Class 2-A dual team state playoffs for girls' tennis by edging visiting Reidsville 5-4 in a first-round match that was contested across two days, concluding Thursday. Asheboro’s Salem Lee shot 77 on Monday for the Mid-Piedmont Conference title at Winding Creek Golf Club.
