The Fall season of high school sports is coming to an end and as postseason play starts with the NCHSAA playoffs Moore County 3 schools have had a fair share of postseason play.   In volleyball, all three public schools in Moore County made the playoffs. North Moore lost in the 2nd round of the state playoffs to Cape Hatteras in three sets. The regular season has come to an end for girls' volleyball in North Carolina. On Thursday the NCHSAA released the brackets for the playoffs, and here is where Moore County teams stand for when the playoff starts on Saturday, October 22.  In 1A East bracket North Moore is Ranked #9 and will host #24 seed North Edgecombe. Robbins —  North Moore High School  The North Moore tennis team had a match against Jordan-Matthews on September 26, which ultimately ended in a 7-2 loss. The singles winner was Logan Maness, who defeated Clara Rojas in two sets, 6-4 and 7-6. In doubles action, Bailea Marley & Paris McCollum defeated Abbey Copeland & Corrine McLaurin 8-6. Senior Games registration is open

SOUTHERN PINES — Registration for the 39th Annual Senior Games in the Pines is underway through March 25. The games are sponsored by the Moore County Senior Enrichment Center along with the Southern Pines, Aberdeen, Pinehurst and county recreation departments and are an official preliminary competition for the North Carolina Senior Games. Competitions begin March 31 and run through May 12. The competition includes bowling, swimming, golf, tennis, badminton, pickleball, running among other individual and team events. The games also include performing, literary and visual arts. The state finals will be held in September and October.
