CARTHAGE — The Carthage Fire Department recently held a Food Truck Rodeo for the community on Sept. 16, where thousands of people turned out for a taste of almost two dozen food trucks, fun and games for the kids, and socializing with friends and family. “This is an event we put on for the community - not really a fund-raiser for us - just to get everyone to come together, fun for kids and lots of good food,” said Vice-President of the Carthage Firefighters Association Bradley Whitaker. North Moore (2-1, 1-0) ran all over Northwood (1-2, 0-1) Friday night, beating the Chargers, 38-12, in the first week of conference play.  The Mustangs overpowered the Chargers with their physicality in the run game and on the defensive side of the ball. North Moore constantly gained chunks of yards on the ground, even after running the same plays consecutively out of the option.   The Mustangs ran in five touchdowns.   “We were physical tonight,” North Moore head coach Andrew Carrouth said. “I think our guys especially in the second half imposed our will a little bit, and that was a…

Accountability on the issues impacting you

President Ronald Reagan famously said, “A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation.” President Joe Biden’s open border policies have fueled a historic surge in illegal immigration and the flames of our ongoing border crisis.
